So, were off.

After a last minute rush, despite putting the car back 30 minutes, we finally made it to the airport.

Couple of quiet coffees in the lounge and we were ready for anything.

The flight to Hong Kong was uneventful, with the only action being the boys fighting over who got the Playstation (maybe I should have got 2 after all?).

The stay in Hong Kong was a great diversion - the boys loved playing in the softplay rooms, both at Andrew, Michael and Matthew's house (who live on Kennedy Road!), and at the American Club.

We had a great walk (oh, my feet!) though a couple of markets, including one with live fish in shallow trays splashing about - how fresh do you want it?

Siena

The Villa in Iesa is fantastic. First impression is it is very rustic, but then you notice all the modern inclusions - every light with electronic dimmers, dish washers, heated floors, with thermostats in ever room - and all modern convenience (other than a microwave for some reason)

Iesa is about 20 minutes south west of Siena. Iesa has five hamlets (borghi), and we are located in Palazzo. The others are Cerbaia, Lama (the one shown on maps as Lama Iesa), Contra, Solaia and Quarciglioni. Iesa is located in the commune (council) of Monticiano, about 15 minutes away, were we went one night for dinner.

There is a small store at Lama Iesa square which sells most things, (can of Illy coffee under $5 - in Sydney it's closer to $20!) as well as hand made sausages.

The food specialty of the area is cingiale (wild boar) which roam through the forest at night. Apparently, they are more scared of people than people are of them, but I'm not waiting to find out!

We Visited Siena once so far, and ate Pizza for lunch in a restaurant at 'il Campo' the main square where they run the big horse races once a year (imagine riding on Terra-cotta tiles?)
